Hello! What a world we live in, that I can find and message you, one my favorite childhood authors, simply by googling your name. I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for your awesome books.

 I went from being a late reader to writing my own books in a span of a decade, and you played a role in that by writing series that I couldn’t put down as a kid. The best example would be Josh Ladd’s books.

 Around the mid 1990′s, when I was just getting a hang on reading, my mum bought me the first six Ladd books for a three week vacation in Florida .

 She thought they would keep me occupied when I couldn’t be outside or was waiting on the plane. I had them read within 5 days and she couldn’t believe me when I told her. My dad never laughed so hard.

 After that they had to give me one book at a time to make sure I did actually play outside, else I would have done nothing else that whole trip. That was the defining moment for me, where I went from a struggling reader to a bookworm.

 So I just wanted to say thanks for that. It was one of the best summers ever, and I can’t wait to share your books with my kids. And yes, I will make sure they get fresh air between reads!
