2014 YA Paranormal Reading Challenge

Hi everyone. If you’re interested in doing this book club with me, I’d love to have you join me. The deal is to read a YA paranormal book a month according to the schedule below. Then check in when I post about it on my Facebook page for the month and give your thoughts, leave a review, like the author and all that if you liked the book, and get a chance to win a prize for commenting on my Facebook page.

January is Angels / Nephilim, so obviously I’ll recommend my book, Speak of the Devil. :) But feel free to read another YA angel book. On the 15th or so of the month I’ll ask you to start checking in. The prize for doing so will be different each month! Here’s the schedule so you can start shopping for books with all your Christmas gift cards!!

January- Angels/Nephilim
February- Demons/Devils
March- Dragons
April- Elves/Fey
May- Ghosts
June- Gods/Goddesses
July- Mermaids/Sea Creatures
August- Other
September- Vampires
October- Werewolves/Shifters
November- Witches/Wizards/Psychics
December- Zombies

So January is Angels/Nephilim. Start looking for books to read. Check in when you know what you’re going to read on my Facebook page and keep us posted.

The January prize for taking part is an iPhone 5 feather case. Pictures on my FB page and blog (link below).

Also, if someone is involved and takes part all year, a grand prize will be awarded in December!

Looking forward to this! Hope you join me on my FB page.

Kristina Although I don't have an iPhone ANYthing (I have the oldest cell phone on the planet) I am going to do this and have a grand ol' time.

Since I already read (and loved) Speak of the Devil, my January book with be City of Fallen Angels, because I need to catch up to my daughter in the series. Haha

Shawna Romkey I was thinking that I may offer a $5 Amazon gc if the winner doesn't have an iPhone. I just thought the feather case was too appropriate for the month's theme!

Plan on the summer for my next book. Sorry, edits are going slowly on this one. :)

That iPhone cover is pretty. :)

I look forward to reading the next book as soon as it becomes available. :)

Kristina I switched my title for this month to Halflings by Heather Burch because it's been on my to read list for much longer than City of Fallen Angels, haha.
Halflings (Halflings, #1) by Heather Burch

Well, Nikki is being protected by 3 boys who are all halflings (children of angel men and human women). They are guided by an angel who has been "demoted." And the halflings do have wings, but humans can't generally see them. Because of their heritage the halflings aren't welcome in heaven or on earth, but they help fight for good based on what their guide tells them Heaven wants them to do. Does that count?

Shawna Romkey I see. Also, Kristina, you won the January Angel prize! Congrats!
