Out with the old ... in with the new

Every new year is a new beginning, a chance to reflect on the previous year. 2013 was a BIG year for me! I became a self published author with a short story, Diary of Lilith: Dracula and my first novel, Bound by Sacrifice: The Road to Ruin. I found a wonderful online community that supports me, learned an incredible amount of new things about the woman I want to be, and I married my soul mate. It was a year of self-actualization, I finally found my place in the world and I am willing to work as hard as I can to prove that I am worthy of it.

Picture Picture A new year is also a time to set goals for the next 12 months of your life, so that is what I am doing here today. I love to write, yet every time I sit down to compose a blog I get lost. It is not natural for me to ramble on about things that are NOT fantasy, I write about what I love. However, I want to be more involved with the community that has been so good to me and give back to them. My motives are not entirely selfless though, I want to make new friends too!

I have gained fans and friends from all over the world, even formed a few relationships with some amazing authors and all of these interactions have made 2013 an unforgettable year! With all I have learned in my first year as an author, I want to make 2014 a year of growth. My goals are to make new friends, stay connected with the one's I have met, and find new ways of interacting with readers and authors alike.

I will be introducing new daily interactive ideas to be more involved with the online community that has been so good to me. Each day of the week will be designated by a name & include fun Q&A, sharing, quotes, free stuff, and more.

Here is what I have planned:

*Make-believe Monday*

Every Monday will be dedicated to the world of fantasy & make-believe. From movies to comics to books, anything that lies in the realm of fantasy could make it's way onto my facebook, twitter, tumblr, or blog.

*Television Tuesday*

On Tuesday, T.V. will be the theme of the day. What is new or old? What's in the news? What is good and what is bad? What show has the social media world buzzing? As long as it is about T.V., it could be what I am plastering on my social media sites.

*Wonderful Words Wednesday*

Each Wednesday will be devoted to the beauty of words … from quotes to poetry to simple thoughts, Wednesday will be a day to appreciate the power of words.

*Thoughtful Thursday*

Thursday will be a day of reflection. It is a day to share all the books that have left you lost in the author's story for weeks or music that makes you feel like the artist ripped your soul out and displayed it for the world. Thursday is the day to express your inner angels and demons.

*Freebie Friday*

This day needs no explanation. Fridays will be about FREE STUFF! I will offer some of my own books, gift cards, and custom items for people to win. I would love to eventually have other author's join me on Fridays to give away some of their stuff too. I will also share posts, blogs, and anything with great deals on this day. If you have a freebie to share, just let me know!

*Share the LOVE Saturday & Sunday*

You guessed it! All weekend long, I will post links for authors, bloggers, reviewers, and just about anyone else who asks me too share the love for them. I already do quite a bit of sharing on twitter, but I will extend it to do more than just re-tweeting a status and I will also share links on facebook. If you would like me to share a link for you, drop me a message and I would be happy to!

I look forward to a new year full of adventure and excitement. I hope you all will join me by stopping by my sites each day or even creating your own Make-believe Monday or Wonderful Words Wednesday. Please be kind and tag me if you do, I can always send people over to join your activities.

If you have ideas or suggestions for me to use, don't hesitate to send them my way!!
