I’ve had quite a few people pat me on the back for writing the Jewel of Hiram, but then ask me “What is your book about?”

So to save you time, here is the ultra-edited Cliff-Notes version:

This book appeals to those who readily comprehend history, military strategy, and Judeo-Christian principles - and those who love airplanes, as I am an airplane junkie.

It is a story which traces historical “against-all-odds” battles and enigmas which left telltale signs of an unexplained hidden hand that manipulated the outcome of those battles and turned the tide for the underdog - Hannibal at Cannae, Cowpens during the American Revolution, and those much smaller in respect, such as Sam Tucker's victory over Lead Pencil in George Sessions Perry's eponymous novel Hold Autumn in Your Hand. The historic battles conclude with the miraculous defeat of the Mexican Army by General Sam Houston, leading to the Republic of Texas.

In Texas, the story moves into the 1950’s, as the discovery of oil, coal, and natural gas made backwoods ruffians into millionaires overnight as the Lone Star State blossomed into an energy giant (well before A&E fabricated this into Reality TV, BTW).

As the story progresses past the 1950's, one man will reminisce on his fortune and discover an anomaly which just might be responsible for his great success in life. It reveals that he was not merely lucky, he was a chosen protector, and this tragic fate is leading him to doom in the next great struggle of mankind.

The enigma he now guards has been in wait for almost 200 years. His response will set the stage for a tale which brings about the end-game to right the balance of the modern predicament this world faces.
