To Quote or Not to Quote...
While ordering business cards/bookmarks today, I read many blogs about how to create a memorable card that will not be deposited into the nearest trash can. I really liked the idea of adding a memorable, meaningful quote to it (especially since it will be a bookmark). There are so many really thought-provoking quotes to choose from but I wanted one, preferably by an author, that would encompass the love of reading that all readers share.
There is just something about reading that restores the spirit, relaxes the body, and inspires the mind. When I am reading, or writing for that matter, I loose all sense of time, forgetting to eat, stretch, and sometimes even to breathe. I would read for days except for the distraction of living that requires that I stop to nourish my body as the book I'm bound to has nourished my soul. No doubt, I am not the only one who feels this way. It is the trademark of an avid reader who reads for pleasure and without the necessity of force. The student of life who remains hungry for more regardless of how many books have been devoured will always find full satisfaction upon feasting on a book.
