Max’s Mayhem
Sam stood at the coffee machine and grabbed a donut, as he heard his name being called.
“Sam, in my office,” the chief yelled.
“I’ve got to quit eating this crap and get back into the gym.” He thought: as he made his way into the chief’s office.
The chief eyed Sam, “You really need to quit eating that crap and get back in the gym.”
“My sentiments exactly, Chief.”
“I’ve got a case for you: a dead hooker.”
“Since when do we go out of our way to investigate dead hookers?”
“The lady seated in the lobby out there: is convinced that there is more to the case than meets the eye. I have to say that I agree with her. How many high class hookers, would be walking through an alley, in downtown Louisville?”
“Ok. I’ll bite, how did she get killed?”
“A hit and run.”
Sam almost spewed coffee all over the Chief. “That would almost be funny, if it weren’t so sad.”
“Well, don’t laugh in front of that lady out there; she is devastated and she’s convinced that there is more to it than just a hit and run.”
Sam got up making his way towards the door, “Oh and one more thing; she’s press.”
The Chief chuckled: as he heard Sam groan. Sam hated the press…
