Having grown up a video-game player, and still avidly play (well, off-and-on…), I have always wondered what the fascination is with playing video games. In the practical sense, they really offer nothing. There is no “prize” to be won by beating a level or getting a character the latest weapon. Still, thousands upon thousands of hours are “wasted” each and every day to video gamers around the world.
