"Desperately searching for the hardcover to 'Ramses the Damned.'" There is none in America. Only in England. Ramses was a paperback original published by Ballantine, my paperback publisher. No Knopf edition. No hardcover. But the British hardcover is out there.

Ms. Rice - You can find two copies of the first edition hardcover in 'very good' condition on Amazon.com's UK website here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-list... book was totally seductive - I fell in love. thought for certain it would be made into a film when the rights were sold so long ago...
