Publicity Tours Can Be Fun

Heading off to New York City to do a ton of publicity on a new military memoir , CODE NAME: JOHNNY WALKER. Hope to see friends and fans at our Book Party (a discussion/booksigning which is going to be taped for C-SPAN’s “Book TV” show) on Monday, Feb. 10th from 7-9 p.m. at the Half King Bar and Restaurant on 505 West 23rd Street in Manhattan.
My co-author Johnny Walker was an Iraqi interpreter working with American forces and especially Navy SEALS, including Chris Kyle, to apprehend Iraqi insurgents and terrorists. Writing this book with Johnny was an amazing and exciting journey, and I’ll always be grateful to Chris Kyle for telling me about Johnny and convincing our editor Peter Hubbard to publish his story – and to Peter for asking me to write it. Kirkus Reviews got it right, calling it “a fiery, insightful memoir” and “a harrowing personal journey of courageous self-empowerment during wartime.”
You can catch us on some of the TV and radio shows Johnny and I will be appearing on starting this weekend through Tuesday:
MSNBC – THE CYCLE
FOX NEWS CHANNEL – HUCKABEE, FOX & FRIENDS
FOX NEWS RADIO – KILMEAD & FRIENDS,
SIRIUS XM – FREEWHEELIN’ ROAD DOG and the MAGGIE LINTON SHOW
