The Illinois library association is running a contest for self-published authors. They want to do for one author what Oprah did for all the authors in her book club! The winner gets a year of PR opportunities (radio, TV, periodicals).

I got wind of this and entered Wicked Wind in January, and I just found out that I have advanced to the second round of judging!!!!!!! 15 books are in this round (not sure how many they started with).

OH My GOSH ! I'm so excited. In 2-3 weeks they will choose three finalists. And the winner will be announced at a party in the Chicagoland area, TBA, in April.

I'm honored, awed, and excited. The libraries want to show publishers that they have clout too (not to mention are tired of publishers charging libraries more for ebooks).

Keep your fingers crossed with me!! I can't wait!!
