... Though it sure as heck feels like it, with all this snow. Have I mentioned how I hate living in Michigan? Because I really, really do.

So! What's going on? A couple things. I'm working on something a little special for Valentine's Day. Normally I'm against recognizing it in any way, shape or form. But I'm trying to grow. See how much I'm growing? I'm not even launching into my usual anti-Valentine's Day rant! It's super fun for me, but since most people roll their eyes when I get going, I'm holding myself back. Aren't you proud of me? You should be.

Not that I'm going all flowers and goofy teddy bears. If I'm going to celebrate, I'm going to do it Blood and Fire style, which involves very little romance...

I'll share more soon. For now, I'll get in the spirit of the "holiday" by making people wonder what exactly I have in mind...

And by people, I mean the one person other than Michelle who might be reading this. Heh.

What else? Hmm... I feel like there was something...

Oh yeah! I'm going to be entering that story I wrote for Nano in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest that opens on Feb 16th! I don't know how well I'll do; as of now I only have my own opinion on the quality of the story. I'm waiting for feedback from a couple of my beta readers, but they seem to think that their jobs and lives are more important than my whims, and haven't gotten around to reading it yet. What jerks. Whatever. I'll keep you guys (aka. that one person) updated on how I do!

I'm also toying with some new formats for the site here. Squarespace has added some new ones for the new year. We'll see.

Finally, I'm happy to say that Ruin is coming along quite nicely. Michelle and I are doing things a little differently this time, but it seems to be weaving together very well and we're making good headway. No firm date for release yet. I want to say 'think spring' but I'm actually planning a fairly big move and Michelle might be as well. I'm sure that'll throw at least one monkey wrench into the works.

What else is going on?

Nothing! Quit bugging me! Geez! You guys are NEVER happy!
