Ladies, Question for you.... Is Dirty Talk really that much of a turn on? Is "the dirtier the better" the right saying?

I ask because I actually laugh or roll my eyes when I read that stuff. Sometimes it actually kills the mood the book set. I cringe at the really dirty stuff and think to myself that if I ever said that a girl I would be eating through a tube for a month and pissing through my nose for even longer.

So... Is this really a thing? Or is it one of those things that girls love in books but hate in real life?
