Narcissism

People who care about others are medicine in the land. In contrast, some believe the land is plagued with narcissism. A narcissist is overly infatuated with self. He or she is all about their image; seen in their clothing and attitude of superiority. A narcissist is rarely depressed since they do not have empathy or concern for others. A narcissist may be highly educated or not. “Once you get a diploma from this college, no one will tell you what to do, instead you will tell others what to do,” boasts their college professor. A narcissist likes for you to ask them to do something, so they can enjoy not doing it. Narcissistic leaders are problematic whether political, secular or religious. Narcissism is most common with personal relationships. You may know someone with this personality disorder. Don’t throw rocks at a narcissist, because the seed is in everyone. It flows from pride, an unholy trait manifested by separation from God. Instead, pray for narcissists. And keep your focus on Jesus Whom demonstrated the highest concern for others (see Hebrews 12:2). That is why the disciples loved Jesus. They never saw the seed of narcissism in Him.
