Leaving KDP

I wrote a book (Jasmine’s Journey 1) and Amazon banned it. Now I’m nearly done with the third installment of the series and Amazon still won’t allow either episode 1 or 2 to show up in their search results. I wrote a blog on it when it first happened. So I won’t repeat the story here, but you can read up on it here.

Sooo….it’s been a long time since I’ve released anything. Don’t worry, I haven’t disappeared, but other projects have kept me occupied. Besides having to work a regular job on an erratic schedule, I completed two other novels for other pen names that I plan on releasing soon: one sweet romantic suspense, the other a YA action and adventure (My kids know I write and it’s not like I can always hide the screen whenever they come into the room. I have to show them something).

I’m editing the romantic suspense book first, and when I’m done with that I’ll be taking requests for beta readers. Until I’m close to finished, I don’t want to cough up too many details, but I think it’s some of my best writing yet.

The other book is in worse shape and will need a lot of work. Unfortunately I won’t be revealing the pen name or title on the YA book since I want to keep all my romance stuff apart from my other work. But I did want to let you know I have been writing something and not just neglecting to tell new stories.

With the cold, crazy winter this season has turned into I hope everyone’s been wrapped up with a nice hot book. Winter’s not over yet, and I do have an offer for my loyal readers. Many of you started with me back with my first series, The Sterns, and my very first book: Taken by Love. I’ve since renamed that book to Austin’s Lost Bride since it reflected the story better, but anyway here’s the deal.

Right now, book 1 of The Sterns: Austin’s Lost Bride is available free on Amazon. I’ve decided to take all my books out of the Amazon freebie system, so this will be the last time it’s available at no charge due to a scheduled free run.

If you download the free book, or even if you bought it previously, AND you write a quick review, then I’ll email you a copy of The Sterns Boxed Set: Books 1-3.

All you have to do is email me a link to your review on Amazon.

Why am I doing this? Well, to be honest, it’s because the reviews for Austin’s Lost Bride suck, and it’s all my fault. You see, this was my FIRST book, and three years ago, I was a bit foolish and released it without a proper copyedit. Nearly every review trashed the book due to editing mistakes. I’ve long since corrected those errors, and now I want fresh eyes to read over and give me their honest opinions. It doesn’t matter what you say, as long as you post a review by 28 Fed 2014.

So you’d be doing me a HUGE favor (and getting a free boxed set) if you write that review.

Thanks again for being a fan and have a great week!
