Two books don't make a series. Three books do.

So my series won't be a series until my current project is finished.

Book 3 is going really well. I've already had to make some interesting decisions, and I'm excited about the various directions I've chosen.

If you've read the first two books (Silverlance and Haunted Mountain, you'll know who Rufus and Dindra are. These two characters both break out in book 3, and the resulting subplots have surfaced some very cool new details for the overall plot of the series.

It's interesting how that works: I often know what I want to have happen, but I don't know how I'm going to get there. Then something happens and the whole thing unfolds before my eyes.

Like someone is telling me the story.

All I'm doing is retelling it.

Anyway, the new stuff is the kind of stuff I can't wait to write.
