With the launch of my ninth novel, 'The Mantis', last week, I've entered a new field for me - an original e-book edition (by V-publishing UK). There has been much discussion among authors about the value of e-books in terms of the reading experience and reaching an audience. One thing's for sure, going this way an international market is reached instantly and I am hoping that people who have enjoyed my earlier books about the mountains and the outdoors will enjoy this one, too. My publisher assures me it's a page-turner and I do know that it is rare among climbing novels in that it gets into why people climb - their ambitions, motives, conflicts and what they are willing to put on the line to be first to the top of an unclimbed mountain.
