Two weeks ago I sent my novel to several agencies and so far, I have received two rejection letters. I can honestly say that they stung, but I haven't given up for several reasons.
JK Rowling was rejected several times before being published--and she is now an author who wrote a legacy
Amanda Hocking, though, is without a doubt my inspiration in this. The woman has written BEAUTIFUL novels, all of which I have read, and she spent a year trying to get agencies and publishers to accept her work.
I've written something outside the norm--and I know that. But I believe in what I've written.
I believe that a novel can hold more than a soppy, unrealistic romance. More than the same generic plot line. More than what I see majority of the time.
And I'm not going to give up, especially when it comes down to the fact that writing is my passion.
