The Goodbye Girl - new release

Whoo hoo! Tonight...no, wait, it's 1:37am, so it's morning, right? Uhhhh...anyway, I finally finished writing 'The Goodbye Girl', my latest BBW romance.

I've gone back to Whicha, where 'The Lawson Boys: Alex', was set. Brought in another Aussie soldier (gotta love a man in uniform) and a quirky heroine.

So here's the blurb for anyone interested!

***** BLURB *****

Serving in Afghanistan, Aussie soldier Sergeant Nick Mason had enjoyed getting letters from The Goodbye Girl, but now he was going home, her usual goodbye letter had arrived. She was meant to be passed to the next lonely soldier, but Nick had other plans.

What he wasn’t prepared for was what he’d discover when he met her face-to-face. His Goodbye Girl was the town’s resident UFO weirdo…

It's available now in ebook format, soon in print. Feel free to check out my wesbite for links and excerpt if you wish.

Now, I have to say, I AM a believer. Yes, I, Angela Verdenius, hereby come out of the cupboard to reveal my secret. I believe in aliens. I believe the truth is definitely out there. I haven't seen one personally, seen a few weird things when I lived out bush, but never been on the receiving end of a visit. Don't think I want to. They have probes and stuff. But I still believe!

There...my secret is out..

Debbie Angela,
Hope you are feeling better. Way to go on the new book. Can't wait for it to be released in the Nook!
Take care and get the tennis elbow better.
Debbie

Angela Verdenius Thanks Debbie! Hope it doesn't take long to release on Nook, Smashwords is usually pretty good at getting them out fast to the bookstores.

Mikaela Reading it now and I love it! Well, that's no surprise, I love the books of yours that I've read so far. It's so nice to read a romance that doesn't have clunky dialogue or a barely there plot. Some of the conversations between the characters (especially Paul and the boys) have me laughing like a hyena. Way to go, Angela! Please don't stop writing about this group of characters!

Angela Verdenius Hi Mikaela - thanks so much, I'm so glad you're enjoying The Goodbye Girl. It was a fun write, and I have to admit, I do enjoy revisiting old characters, kind of like revisiting old friends . I was a little nervous that people wouldn't like the side subject (aliens), but hey...what can I say? I love watching sci-fi, too! LOL

Mikaela So how old is Bill - the stoic guy? Is he romance story material?

message 6: by Silke (new)

Silke Hi Angela. Thank you for the notification. I just bought it and can't wait to start. I bet it will be a winner just like your earlier books!

Debbie Got mine too. Started last night and loving it!

Oooohhh - I've not seen Bill as a main hero for the books. He's one of these characters that pops up regularly to just *look* at the others and keep his thoughts (sometimes) to himself LOL. I always see him as in the 50 - 60 years YOUNG category!

Hope you like it, Silke. It was a fun write, and one I've wanted to do for a long time.

Hope you continue to love it! LOL I was nervous putting this book out, so it's always a relief to hear back when people like it!

Mikaela Hey, 50-60 year old guys can still get it on pretty good! Especially when they stay in shape. Rawr!

Angela Verdenius Mikaela - I absolutely agree!! I've been watching The X Files recently *LOL* and I have to say - Skinner attracts me more than Mulder. It's those *broad* shoulders and the steely-eyed gaze.
*Fanning self*
