Let Me Take You on a Journey...or Two
In August of 2013, I pulled together a Kickstarter campaign for the release of my first novel,
Into the Hive of Saarlathesh
. Through the support of my family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances, I was able to reach my funding goal and begin the first steps to releasing it to the general public.
It was a long and arduous process of rewriting and editing my text for release, but Into the Hive of Saarlathesh finally released in January of 2014. I was ecstatic. Immediately, I began signing copies for those who supported me. Others who had heard of my work but were too late for the Kickstarter event, were clamoring for a copy.
To begin with, Into the Hive was made available on Amazon (both physical and e-book). It was only a week ago that my first official review arrived, courtesy of Kirkus Indie Reviews. And with it, my book became available not only at Barnes and Noble, but at many local retailers in the your area.
But that's just the start. I intend to market my novel to as many people as I can, not just over social media but in person. I will be attending Pax East 2014 in Boston this year, and I will be bringing my novel with me.
To say that the release of Into the Hive has been a boost to my confidence is an understatement; the overwhelmingly positive response to the book has propelled me into writing far more than I have in the past. I am currently at work on a couple separate works that I expect to become published books in the future.
I am also in the process of arranging a number of book events, to be listed with date and times here. Happy reading, everyone!
