New Author, New Book! - on Ballet!
I'd like to introduce myself. I am Nancy Lorenz, author of a debut novel, "The Strength of Ballerinas," which is due out in September, 2014 from Cedar Fort Publications & Media.
My book concerns a ballerina who has to deal with two obstacles in order to achieve her dream. The trouble is that she has no control over either one. Why can't she have a voice in her own life? When her world falls apart, Kendra must find a way to keep dancing. Can she do it? Will she achieve her dream? You'll have to read the book to find out!
Ballet IS my first love, but I love all "the arts," including theater, opera, music, and film. I keep abreast of all of them. So, whether it be New York, California or regional, I love the new productions, as well as the old classics.
It used to be that many people could not enjoy the arts, but today, with the age of the Internet, the New York City ballet, opera from the Met, and Broadway shows can be glimpsed in video clips right on your Facebook and Twitter pages. So, even if you can't afford that ticket, or travel beyond your email, you can see "La Boheme" or "Swan Lake," or "Oklahoma!" streaming from a theater somewhere in the world...
But back to my novel.....Right now, I'm busy with the marketing for my YA ballet book and have been working on the various soclal media linked to it, such as:

I always heard that writing the book was only half of the fun. As I travel through this amazing new world of pre book-launch marketing, I am learning about the other half, and having a wonderful time, thinking creatively to promote my book.
I'm also continuing to write. I am working on a women's fiction, as well as polishing up some YA and middle grade novels as well. I continue to read the YA genre to see what's trending, and, staying on top.
Well, back to my ballet novel. "The Strength of Ballerinas" calls... More next time...
