I’ve had several conversations these last few days with people who’ve read
The Crying Dance. One thing became clear to me. Though the world portrayed in the book is different, even strange, it also seems familiar. It’s a world we could swear we once knew, yearn for in ways, but we don’t know how to get back to. The essence of that world is connectedness, a connectedness that sees us through the ups and downs of having a body and a mind, a connectedness that gives us meaning. I derive both pleasure and meaning by the connections the book brings me and hope they can grow. I hope the world of the book is one you want to endure in this world, one that you want to nourish and propagate both within and without.
