Makes Sense, But Does It Work?


I have a friend who has a very nice portfolio of 25, low P/E, big cap stocks, all of which are in the top 50 of the S&P 500. He told me that he had some Caterpillar stock that had been doing really well and some Ford stock that has done poorly. He asked me if it was a good idea to sell the Caterpillar stock, since it had done so well and put it into the Ford stock because it might turn around.
