Just received the email from her family that this lovely author passed away in October 2025.

“It breaks my heart to tell you that we lost our beloved Deborah on October 29, 2025. I apologize for the time it has taken me to share this news. Grief has a way of reshaping time, and I am still learning how to live in a world where she no longer breathes beside us. Our family has been navigating a depth of sorrow we could never have imagined.

She was and will forever remain, so profoundly loved. A pillar of strength, a force of nature, a woman who carried her family with grace and unshakable devotion. She left this world in the home where my brother and I grew up, embraced by her husband of forty years. After a long struggle with illness, we take comfort in knowing her pain has finally quieted. She is at peace.

Deborah leaves behind her husband, two sons, two grandchildren, a wide and cherished extended family and countless readers across the globe who adored her, her stories, and the worlds she brought to life.”
