Every author has to have a category for their book – and mine happens to be paranormal romance. This helps to let readers know what the book is generally going to be about. The biggest problem is when people ask me what paranormal romance is.

To put it simply, paranormal romance is when the book is a romance that features paranormal characters, such as vampires, zombies, ghosts, werewolves, or any other “paranormal” creature. The Mortal One is a paranormal romance because Dylan is in a relationship with Nico, who is a vampire.
