It's been four long years since we released There's Something About Dying. During that period there has been a global recession, a royal wedding, Osama Bin Laden was killed and the Higgs boson particle was discovered ... and yet people were still not happy.

No one likes an unfinished trilogy and people were becoming extremely restless. At least two friends (neither of whom had read the first two books) asked us when the next book would be out, more out of curiosity than any particular interest. It was all the incentive we needed. We knuckled down and got to work ... and by "got to work" I mean Simon moved to Germany and I decided to live in New Zealand, which is probably not the textbook way to go about writing a story together.

Anyway, Trouble Comes in Threes is very nearly complete so if by some freak chance you read and enjoyed our previous two books (I appreciate that doing both of those things is asking a lot), then be sure to check out the final part of the trilogy. It's every bit as childish as you would expect it to be.
