The Gods of Eternus the Dragon of Time

So a few weeks ago I talked about the Dragons prevalent in my newest adventure, Eternus: the Dragon of time, and explained that they are passing themselves off as Gods, but there are actual Gods in the story.

Mekosh- A robed, and hooded monk in brown, or a knight in black full plate with executioner’s axe

The robed figure represents forbearance while the knight represents severity

Silwen- A naked beauty, or an old crow with actual crows

The beauty is love and the old hag is hate

Ihnogupta- A bald yogi with tats, or a fat, stumpy, sweaty mess

The Yogi represents perseverance and the fat mess is sloth

Garnabus- A tribal man with long gray braids, or a twisted albino with a mohawk

The aborigine is sobriety and the albino is madness

I know it seems odd that humans would worship madness or sloth, but think of it in terms of Skyrim's Daedric cults. If you're not familiar with that then just think of cults...I guess.

The Gods in Eternus the Dragon of Time are manifestations of the duality of man, so to speak. I have not fully decided just how to wield them, but for the time being their paladins, or those who not only follow one of the Gods but avidly try to persuade Dragon followers of their existence, have definite roles in the story.

As things stand, it is too early for me to decide just what to do with the Gods themselves; whether or not they exist as an extension of men, if they have always existed but required prayer to give them power, or perhaps something else. Obviously, the plot is that the protagonist, Scar, will have to fight the tribal leaders, those who worship the Dragons, but I don’t think he’ll have any favor from the Gods. They too note Scar’s oddity and will likely wonder if he is a threat to their existence…

Soon, I’ll start to release some chapters and Lovenhaad, Paladin of Mekosh the Severe, will make an appearance. Apart from paladins, you’ll see a bit of the magic powers given by the Dragons and whatnot.

Stay tuned for more and thanks for reading.
