I often narrate titles from the public domain. The most recent of these was Frank Herbert's (DUNE) THE NOTHING. It's a short story set in a future time. Since it was written in the 1950's, I suppose that time could even be now! Written from the standpoint of a young woman, fairly rare in older science fiction, it is a tale of the search fro self-actualization in a society where those with "special talents" rule over "the nothings."
The narrator of the story is special. She's a "pyro" who can set fires spontaneously at will. By a twist of fate she gets hooked up with a "nothing." Can love survive?
To find out listen to THE NOTHING by Frank Herbert published on audible by Mike Vendetti publishing.
It won't be available for a few weeks, but I'll let you know when it's published.
