Is it Far-Fetched?

A while ago, I blogged about Artificial Intelligence and its potential consequences. While some people may consider it far-fetched, I’m afraid that many of the world’s smartest people say that it is not only possible, but that it is coming. By some definitions, it is already here. On June 9, 2014, the results of a machine passing the Turing Test were released. When the test was created in the 1950's, it was deemed the baseline for AI. Here’s the article below:

So, in a definite sense, Artificial Intelligence is already here, but how close are we to the vaunted “singularity” predicted by the world’s greatest physicists? The last time I blogged about this I cited an article that quoted Stephen Hawkings (pretty much one of the smartest men in history) and this time I’m citing an article by Louis Del Monte, the author of The Artificial Intelligence Revolution. For those of you who have completed Blaze: A Superhero Origin Story, that phrase might be familiar to you. Remember AIR War from Blaze?

Hmmm… looks like that premise might not be far-fetched at all? But I will defer the answer to exactly when "singularity" will likely happen to someone a little more qualified. So, check out this link:
