My 10-year-old son, Ethan, and I finished our book yesterday. The title is The Dragon in my Backyard. He's very excited about it! He can't wait to set up a table in our front yard to sell books! I just wish our neighborhood got more traffic - well, not really. I like that my kids can ride bikes and things safely, but I digress.

So, now the book is in the hands of our beta readers. I am using my tried-and-true ones, but added a few extras - kids this time, since they are the target audience. We hope to get their feedback, get the illustrations done, and get it published before school starts on August 19th! We already have a book signing planned at a local bookstore. Can't wait!
