As God is my witness, I have never owned a blog, written a blog--or dreamed about a blog. So, when it comes to blogs, I'm a virgin!

How am I doing so far? I think at least a B+.

I love writing, reading, books, bookstores, (and many other non-book things, like traveling, good conversation and good friends). (I think I'm up to an A-, blogwise.)

Just joking about the grades, not joking that this is my first effort in blogsville.

I just spent three years writing Cherry Delight, a memoir about my family, mostly my parents. I think it is a good read, to coin a phrase. So do people who've reviewed it on Amazon.

By the way, I ate oatmeal for breakfast and now I'm off to lunch. And thus my first blog entry comes to an end. Thanks for reading it (even if you and I probably have better ways to pass the time). Still I thank you; know that I enjoyed writing it and thank anyone who buys, reads, and reviews my and other authors' books. Best, RC
