My book will be released in paperback on August 5, 2014. I was honored to receive a foreword for it from
Natan Sharansky. He was my hero when I was active for Inna’s release–during that time, he was in a Soviet
labor camp, where he was ultimately confined for 8 years. He became the iconic symbol for the international
movement to free Soviet Jews. Here is an excerpt from the foreword:
“The touching and very human story of Lisa and Inna’s friendship demonstrates the triumph
over oppression is possible when an individual chooses action over indifference.
Such individual acts of heroism, which united so many, not only released many Russian
Jews, but made the world a better place.”
