Behind the veil
To see behind the veiled world would be incredible. To know and understand what takes place in the supernatural would change everything. I think it would change how we perceive the natural world and of course God. We would have a deeper understanding of the age old question “why” and those answers would take the limits off of us while loosing so many hearts that reframe from the love of God due to mistrust and a lack of understanding. So why doesn’t God allow us to see……I mean really “SEE?”
First of all, I do believe He dose let us see in part, but you must behold it with your spiritual eyes and not your natural ones. Second, if we would know everything, I think we would become robotic in the relationship God desires. It would not be a true love for God that drives us, but rather it would be out of necessity because of what we know to be happening around us.
God desires true and real fellowship with His people. I believe if we could see all His splendor, yes their would be a level of respect and awe that would cause many to turn to Him, but it would lack true love. To love a God that we cannot touch or see like our spouse or loved ones and yet still LOVE Him, is what I believe the Lord is looking for and in part why the supernatural is hidden from us. Yes, sometimes it feels unfair….like we’re being tested, but the reward will be more than our human understanding can comprehend.
There are so many accounts of the things unseen by those who are just ordinary folks like you and me. People with stories of angels, encounters with other worldly beings, trips to heaven, lights in the sky, paranormal activity, healings, gold dust, sudden appearances of jewels, demons and more. These stories intrigue me to say the least. Do I believe them all……of course not. I always ask for discernment when it comes to things of this nature. I however believe that things like this do exist and will become more frequent as we draw closer to His return. I refuse to put the creator of the universe in a box and say He cannot! He can and He will and He is not subjected to our limited understanding and imagination! I would prefer to have my mind blown on a regular basis by God! LOL! So, that leves me with the question…..why not me?
Do I desire these things more than God? Do I secretly need Him to prove Himself to me? I sometimes struggle with those questions in my pursuit to know Christ and wonder if there is something wrong with me. Why am I so drawn with a more than normal kind of interest to all things supernatural? Thank God (literally) He has put people in my path with the same drive and need to see and understand. As I learn more I see there is a natural desire to know what goes on behind the veil in most of us. I believe it was placed there by God himself.
It causes us to pursue Him, to wonder and be in awe of the One who created us for relationship. One day we will all understand why things were hidden from us and I’m sure we will stand in awe. God is infinite and His understanding is beyond our comprehension and the deeper things of Christ keeps us motivated to know Him.
He is the living definition of supernatural. I long for the day when I am covered in His splendor, the unusual is the norm and things beyond my wildest imagination are tangible. God’s word says He will give you the desires of your heart…..oh my….I cannot wait to experience those things. I believe that is why we have an eternity with Him. It will take that long at least to meet the desires I have! Just to know Him in His fullness and have the “why” questions answered will be one of those “whoa” kind of moments.
To talk with Him, to see heaven, to know my purpose in the Kingdom, to walk with the champions of the Bible, meet the legions of angels and to learn how they work and operate, to understand what has truly been going on since the beginning of time, nephilim, watcher angels, how were the pyramids really built, where do legends come from; do they have a basis in fact, to understand why bad things happen to good people, dinosaurs, was there a bigfoot and Loch Ness monster, and much- much more will be our destiny if we pursue a relationship with Christ and love Him despite NOT having all the facts up front!
So many questions…..facts hidden by shrouds of beliefs and possible conclusions. Myths and hypothesis that still leave you wondering. This is what fills the world….what we think is, but lacks real solidity. God is our truth, He alone holds the answers and yes it would be awesome to know and understand the many things that are left unanswered….. but I also think it’s wonderful to be left in wonderment.
What would drive us? Would we be shallow if we had all the answers or would be better for it? I think God and all things supernatural should be surrounded by mystery. Yes as humans we have a natural desire to know why and how and this can almost make one mad not knowing, but I think that is the very reason we are attracted to God! All those questions, mystery and wonderment have a direct path to God, despite what evolutionists and non-believers may think. All paths will eventually lead them to an all-powerful, eternal God that holds the answers for all things hidden behind the veil. He is the lamp onto our feet and the light to our path.
If we stay steadfast in our quest to understand, give God the glory and stay in awe of who He is……than we as a people will be enlightened. All things will be brought to light that glorious day when we slip through that thin veil and meet the One who keeps all things in balance and finally “SEE!”
What are some of your thoughts on this? Do you have a valid answer for one of the many topics mentioned here? I have so many interest… this blog could go on and on! LOL! God and my relationship inspire me and I would love to hear what you think about the supernatural and what inspires you.
