I don't know if every writer feels like this, but I often get small ideas, pieces of dialog or a character. These ideas keep growing into plots and while their stories grow so does my stack of unclaimed ideas. I can't get it to stop! I have notepads and stickie notes and electronic notes everywhere! It's insane! I will say some of them tend to be pretty funny, at least the ones I write while I'm exhausted.
