Insert Success Here
My book has been on the Amazon market for coming up for two months. The first six week's sales were great, but now I'm beginning to creep up towards a desert. It's been nearly two weeks since I received my last sale and I'm starting to become paranoid.
I spent a long time editing my book and updated it a few days ago. Living in Edinburgh, I decided to print flyers for my book to hand out around the Fringe. However, after what I believed to be a successful night of flyering with several people taking my leaflet and being enthusiastic about downloading it, I have had no sales. Perhaps people out in the pub are not the best people to market a book for, but I'm at a loss. No one wants to stop in the street for you. Even online, no one is interested in your book. It is as if the internet meme is the only thing of interest to people any more. Short snippets of information, jokes or sarcasm. That's all people want nowadays. And when they go to the cinema or watch TV and complain that its predictable or a rehashed franchise or a prequel, sequel or copied from another film, they never wonder that maybe it's their own fault for not having the concentration to read something new?
