I am amazed and thrilled and deeply humbled that People magazine has once again singled out our book in its pages! Its the October 11th issue (which arrived on newsstand October 1st, oddly) We all know how hard it is for any book to get any ink these days... friends and fellow writers talk about this constantly. So many great books out there, so hard to get them noticed. That is why communities like this one are soooo fundamentally important to writers. Your support means so much--you are the diehard and real readers out there who do it for the love and power of the written word! The folks who prefer Flannery O'Connor to Chelsea Handler, or who actually love both. That is why I got in this racket in the first place! There are so many great stories out there! So many great writers. So many great books. And for every book that gets singled out in People magazine, there are hundreds that don't for oh so many reasons. And so for this I am deeply humbled and grateful.
