It's all Roses, right?

I mean, being able to say I'm an "Indie Author" feels very rock'n'roll. I still have that nagging feeling that if I got traditionally published that it would validate my work, but I know that I'm just as valid being self-published.

But it's not really all roses. Self promotion is HARD work. I mean I post link after link, blog after blog, etc... and it's not an explosion of support for me yet. I am still promoting myself. I don't know what I really expected. Still, I keep doing it. Why? Because I have a dream and a 5 year plan.

Success depends on me. I have to promote my work, myself, my pages, etc.

I know this was a ramble. I really did have a point, although, now I'm not sure if I made it or not. Think of this as stream of consciousness.
