I wasn’t sure about whether or not I was going to be doing an Ice Bucket Challenge until my buddy Scott Kelby gave me no choice. Scott took his challenge at the end of the latest episode of The Grid and threw the challenge at me live during the broadcast. I happily accepted and started making plans. Having already watched several previous challenges by my friends I decided to do something a little different so I shot it with three cameras. The first is just my simple JVC handycam for the straight on view. Then I added a GoPro Hero3 Black for some nice 720/120 fps video to get that nice slow-mo as the icy water cascaded over my head. The final cam was in my DJI Phantom 2 Vision + shooting in 720 at 60 fps. I pulled it all together in iMovie and posted it to my YouTube account.

Aside from all the fun I think it’s important to remember that this challenge serves a purpose and that is to raise awareness of ALS and raise money for research to find a cure for this horrible affliction that is more popularly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
