My name is Mike O'Connor, and I am the author of A Commercial Republic: America's Enduring Debate Over Democratic Capitalism. I appreciate you taking a minute to look at my goodreads blog.

At the moment I do not have any plans to blog consistently here, mainly because I just joined this site and up to now have been circulating information in other venues. On the book's Facebook page, located here, I post news and publicity about the book as well as the occasional media tidbits about government economic intervention or accessible economic theory (the only kind I know!). Please "like" the page in order to receive those updates in your feed.

When I come up with something a bit more substantive, I usually put it up at the blog of the Society for U.S. Intellectual History or, more recently, the History News Network. I highly recommend both of those sites for those who are interested in history and its intersection with contemporary politics.
