When I wrote this book, it was not under contract–I wrote it because I love the characters and couldn’t stand for their story to be over. I’m so happy and lucky that my publisher, HarperCollins, decided to go for another Conn adventure.

As is my tradition, on a book’s publication date I post the dedication and acknowledgements, because a book comes into the world through the efforts of many, not just the...

So glad to hear this, Rachel!! I'm not sure if there's another Conn/Pip/Nevery book in my--but there might be... :D

I sure hope so - I realize it's a lot of work, but I'm greedy for more. Might be sort of tough with the primary villian dead and all, but I'm sure you can cook something up unexpected that clicks into place in the storyline. I must know: does Benet and Capt Kerrn hook up? What about Rowan and Embre? Is there someone for Nevery out there? Conn, I would imagine, is married to the magics (kind of like a priest). It's a great story and cast of characters - I'd hate to see it end now - not when there are so many biscuit traps left to set! :)

Ah, the biscuit trap...

Actually, I do have somebody in mind for Conn, though that might best be left for a short story at some point in the future. He needs a girl to drive him crazy. :D

As for the rest of them...we'll see!
