And what is IBBY you may ask? Well, I will tell you. With some help from Wiki, of course:

IBBY Canada is the Canadian National Section of the International Board on Books for Young People, a non-profit organization which represents an international network of people who are committed to bringing children and books together. The mission of IBBY Canada is to introduce Canadian children’s literature to the world and to promote exceptional international children’s literature in Canada.

So why am I mentioning IBBY Canada? Because I am very happy to say that I have been selected for the IBBY 2014 Joanne Fitzgerald Illustrator in Residence Program.

It’s going to be lots of fun! For the month of October, I will be doing workshops, school visits and portfolio reviews!

The official launch of the program is Wed Oct 1st, 6:00-7:30pm at the Northern District Branch. There will be a gallery of my illustrations along with work of the very talented children’s book illustrator, Joanne Fitzgerald.
