With Halloween season upon us, anyone looking for something seriously scary or disturbing should try this book. As someone who has read her fair share of horror books and does not scary easily, the opening chapter of this is literally one of the most frigtening book openings I can ever recall reading. I do plan to eventually get around to reading the rest of the 314 series, but I will have to work myself up to it! To this very day, I now sleep with my clock covered because god forbid I happen to wake up a 3:14 for one reason or other...
I already have issues with the 3 a.m. hour after seeing the film "The Exorcism of Emily Rose", but now this book has added another level of creepiness to the witching hour.

Those of you brave enough to read a truly haunting book this Halloween, give it a try. Be warned though, this is not for the faint of heart.
