Today I got the go ahead from my publisher... He has told me to put together a special edition of my poetry over the course of the past 40 years along with my illustrations and to have it ready in the early spring... Hopefully, the final edition will be out in the early summer of 2015 in paperback or even in hardback... This will be considered later by my publisher... My first love with writing was... poetry... I am happy to come back to it... In my early 20's canadian literary critics were becoming familiar with my poetry and I received very favorable reviews... I was publishing in periodicals... In a conversation with Irving Layton I was told by him that I would be one of Canada's up and coming poets... I was told that even Leonard Cohen had heard about me...

...So, what did I do... I did what poets do... I listened to my heart and stopped publishing... continued to write but never attempted to publish again up until now... looking back i wanted to become a well-worn jacket onto myself as a writer who would show his work again... I hope that today I am mature enough and fit into my jacket comfortably... Because, I am very excited to come back to my first love in writing... poetry.
