Fast Friday...Again?

Because I don't feel like making my readers play follow the link leader within my own blog, I'm simply going to go the copy and paste route. Do I know lazy or what? Er...wait...did I just incriminate myself...again???

Meh. Whatever.

Anyway....

Because I haven't really done any blogging regularly in a while, and because I reallllllly miss it, I've decided to give it a go again. No, it isn't because I think I'll somehow become an overnight internet sensation, and it's not in hopes that I'll revert to my former self-proclaimed "scribble queen," but I'm dipping my toe back in because I truly do miss sharing random scribbles. I love the interaction that I get from my creative readers who just want to have a little fun, and there are a couple of my friends who have blessed me with some much needed belly laughs in the past.

Any content before this post I can't guarantee will be in line with my current state of mind, in fact, my past scribbles were a little...scary. I hope I got most of the excess baggage weeded out, but if I missed something, I beg forgiveness. Seriously, scary. No joke. It's like trick-or-treaters on Halloween. You never know what the next post brings. "Awwww, how sweet, a little angel." "Oh, gag, I sure hope that's ketchup!" That right there sums up my past blog posts.

And on that note, here is nifty little fun activity I'd love to see brought back (with a few edits to preserve my sanity).

FAST FRIDAY!I decided I want to do something a little fun with my blahg. So, I came up with Fast Friday.
What is Fast Friday, you ask?
Answer: Wellllllllllll…
Every Friday I will post a prompt at the end of the current post. Ideally, I would like three volunteers a week to write one sentence based on the prompt WITHOUT ACTUALLY USING THE WORDS OF THE PROMPT. The sentence can be three words or 103 (preferably not too long since LOOOOOOOOOONG sentences are usually very poorly written and hard to read, sort of like this one). It can be witty, funny, sad, any genre, etc, as long as it keeps a PG rating.
For now there are only two basic conditions (this may change depending on how this goes HAHA):
1) THE PROMPT CANNOT BE USED IN THE SENTENCE, BUT IT MUST BE OBVIOUS THE SENTENCE CAME FROM THE PROMPT.
and
2) IT MUST BE ONLY ONE SENTENCE.
If you’d like to participate all you need to do is send me an email with your content. Be sure to put in the subject line FAST FRIDAY and your name. It should look this with your name in place of mine: FAST FRIDAY Heather Wildman. All other correspondence will be deleted.
What do you get out of it?
Answer: Now, now… Must everything involve compensation?

Alright, I give. There isn’t any monetary compensation. I believe I stated above that I wanted to do something fun. This is like going to a party. I’m not going to pay you to socialize and drink cocktails, if you get my drift.
If your entry makes the cut, what I will do is post your name, along with a link to your website or blog, and a short blurb. (NOTICE I SAID SHORT… SHORT MEANING 100 WORDS GIVE OR TAKE A FEW.) The blurb will be your words and your content unless it goes against what I want to appear on my blog since I am ultimately responsible for the contents, then I will ask for a revision, or simply make something up myself (BWAHAHAHAHA That might be fun!). Yes, I know. There are always conditions, aren’t there?

So, any victims… er… volunteers?
Wait, what? An example?
Answer: Okay…
Let’s use the very first ever prompt: Elbow Macaroni.
An entry would look something like this.
Author: Heather Wildman
Title: Artsy Noodle
“She watched the preschoolers glue the pasta on the paper and thought the only thing missing was the cheese.”
About the Author: Heather Wildman is an up and coming writer who lives in the Pacific Northwest with her two children and her pet dust bunny. Be sure to check out her stories here, here and here. Also be sure to visit her website to learn a little more about her.
Your email should look something like this: NameTitle (If desired. I'll gladly add one for you!)SentenceBio
Have you finally got it? Good. Now get crackin’!

Prompt: Candy   (Yep, going to start generic to get everyone warmed up!)
