This book was an amazing surprise. I was a bit put off by Daniel in the beginning because he was so cold and calculating in his approach to humans and feeding. As the story progressed, I found myself intrigued by him as his true relationship with Sara was revealed and we were given a glimpse or two of his emotions toward her. I really liked this book. I liked the fact that the lycans were depicted as blood thirsty and very aggressive. However, I also liked the premise that a few of them were shown to have a conscience and a regard for the humans that nourish them. The action in this book was outstanding and you never really could just sit back and let it happen. This story had me on the edge of my chair in many places. If you like a werewolf story that has blood, grit, aggression, many fight scenes, and a love story with great sex, I highly recommend this book!
