Souls are very sensitive, delicate things. When they arrive on this miserable planet called Earth, they're exposed to a certain darkness that souls in their purest essence have no concept of. This leaves humans vulnerable to losing their souls or leaving the planet, i.e. suicide. To protect the soul, humans then subconsciously create walls, typically made up of barriers that encompass a whole degree of 'nasty' qualities because, for some strange reason, love and kindness are mocked and jeered as though they're something to be ashamed of. This usually results in souls 'going bad' or 'going cold'.

The trick is to keep hammering away at the massive wall until you find the soul.

But do so at your own peril. If you're going to attempt to battle another person's demons, be prepared to discover some of your own.
