Fantasy For Good and Piers Anthony

In just under one month, FANTASY FOR GOOD will hit the shelves. This is a charitable anthology, all proceeds of which will go to help raise awareness of and fight colon cancer. The late Jay Lake is one of the 30 contributors, and I couldn’t be prouder to be one of the authors listed in the table of contents.
Today I learned that one of the 30 contributors, Piers Anthony — yes, that Piers Anthony — posted a review of the anthology in his November newsletter. Mr. Anthony mentioned one story in each of the five sections.
For the Paranormal section, he mentioned mine.
**cue Jackie squealing and dancing**
Here’s what he said:
Part 3, “Undying Love” by Jackie Kessler, wherein a demoness tries to help her friend who becomes a vampire, who wants to raise a child, and of course it ends badly; how can a vampire properly care for a baby by day? You have to feel the pain of these supernaturals as they struggle with their situations.
**cue Jackie squealing again**
Here’s the full post — the Fantasy For Good information is in the second paragraph.
Tonight, I gleefully mentioned this to my family. And my younger son said, “Piers Anthony???”
I said, “You know who Piers Anthony is?”
He said, “He writes the Xanth series! A Spell For Chameleon!”
I grinned. My son is so smart.
And then he said, “Please tell him that I love his books!”
So, Mr. Anthony…if by any chance you happen to read this, please know that my son loves your books. (And so does his mother.)
