message 1: by Pamela (new)

Pamela I recently finished reading AD 30. To say the least, I was moved, challenged, encouraged, and surprised. This is my first Dekker read, and I had no idea what to expect, I like to go into a book that way. It is very clear to me, from the book, that Mr Dekker was indeed seeking his own answers to life's many questions, struggles, and paradoxes. There is a real depth to the book, which tackles the hard things like offence and forgiveness, shame and worth. There are times when, as a follower of Christ, I long to have walked with Him and personally encountered HIM, and reading this story made it all come alive for me. Jesus is alive, and we can still encounter Him in a life-changing way. Thank you Mr Dekker for being real, raw, and vulnerable in your writing. I hope you were blessed by it!! I borrowed a copy from my library, but will be purchasing my own, so that I can reread it. There was just so much to take in.
