Is it absolutely ridiculous that I just spent like an hour trying to come up with/find a pre-made (pathetic, right?) title for this post that would be a little bit witty and clever? Honestly, I just put this title as a filler but now I don't really feel like changing it. Ha!

So, I decided, against my better judgement, to start a blog. A lot of authors have blogs. In fact, I'm going to go so far as to say that most authors have blogs. I thought I should probably jump on the bandwagon.

With that, take this as your one and only warning: I don't know what I'm doing.

I shall now introduce myself. Hello!! I am Shay :) I'm a writer and I use smiley faces like they're punctuation marks. Writing has always been a big passion of mine and I feel like, along with my passion, I also have somewhat of a talent for it. That's always a nice thing to have, I guess. As far as what type of writing I do, I am a novelist dabbling mostly in YA fiction though I have written one book that you could call mainstream fiction, I suppose.

What else is there about me....uhh....oh! I'm married to the most wonderfullest man alive. He really is my most wonderful :) Also I have the cutest little puggle named Lucy who is adorably clingy (though others might say it is more annoying than adorable but I'm in denial) Ooh and I have this radtastic reading and writing cave, which I am in right now :) Though, every time I come up here, the first thing I do after turning on all my pretty, twinkly lights, is check for spiders. The one time I didn't, I had been up here for like an hour and then I just randomly looked to my left and there were too gi-freaking-normous spiders on the wall. I think I blacked out for a second.

Anyway, if you've made it this far, give yourself a pat on the back.
