Book Promotion
Hello everyone, my name is Leon Opio. I'm an independent author, but foremost I'm a husband and father. I enjoy writing adult suspenseful/thrillers, but my biggest passion is creating Children and Young adult fantasy stories. These stories deal with many of the social issues that Children and Young adults endure such as abandonment, bullying, peer pressure, teen suicide and other topics.
My young adult story that is coming out the April 2015 is titled "Mr. Nimbus and the School House Bullies". This is the first in a five part Mr. Nimbus book series, every book will address a topic that occurs every day with our youth.
"Mr. Nimbus and the School House Bullies" is a whimsical fantasy story that will introduce the reading world to Mr. Nimbus who will help the school deal with two brothers who are bullies. He will use his special gift to show the bullies how it feels to be the victims of bullies.
My second book is a Children Picture book coming out November 2014 titled "Joy's Great Zoo Adventure". This story deals with a young girl who lives in an orphanage after her parents passed away and when the opportunity comes for her to be adopted. She runs away and takes part in an adventure that will show her that parental love can come from more than just her biological parents.
My books are not written to make light of these issues as I have endured both of these issues in my personal life. I lost my mother and father at a very young age and growing up I thought that being bullied was part of the school day. Both of these books are being published by Independent publishing companies. I'm asking for donation to help with the Marketing, promotional materials and pay the fees allowing me to showcase my books around the tri-state area at this year and next year.
