I am a kitesurfer; that is, I spend as much time as I can driven by wind, skimming across the water on a small board with a kite high in the air above me.

It brings me great joy. When I am out there with the water and the wind, everything that is false falls away. I know what is right and true.

My writing is an attempt to convey what i perceive as right and true. Of course it is filtered through my lens; it's what is right and true for me, it might not be right and true for you.

And sometimes it is very hard to convey. Sometimes i see that a reader has missed what I was trying to say in my writing and yet has got something that I wasn't even aware of saying! So I have to let go of what it is I want to say, and accept that the reader will get what s/he needs. It's not my job to tell her/him what to think!
